I shall offer you my theories about boys today as its 4.30 a.m & i'm not yet in bed and i'm freaking bored.
Now, i've come to a conclusion that it would be a precious gemstone to find a Muslim guy in this era whom we can compare to that of our father.
Just inform me of the number of male adolescence who religiously pray 5 times a day because he aware of his a responsibility to do so. Maybe praying 5 times a day is too much to ask for. Let me settle for the number of Muslim guys who actually attend Friday Prayers these days. I can still recall that almost all my Muslim classmates back then in primary school seeing Friday Prayers as a mandatory but i believe that opinion no longer hold these days.
Well, i'm not saying that everyone is like that as i do know of some guys who actually perform the prayers 5 times a day without fail. I sincerely respect this group of guys.
But don't you think that it's a pity that they are a rare find?
Just observe the amount of Muslim male population that you find lingering around town at the time when they're supposed to be at the mosque? Worst, the bulk of them whom leisurely display their drinking obsession almost anywhere and everywhere together with the bunch who glorify their tattoos like as though they are some kind of religious act.
I'm not speaking like as though i'm some pious Muslim who is attempting to critise all those guys with tattoos and those who drink cause i'm pretty much aware that when it comes to religion, i fall short of meeting expectations.
But i find it rather disturbing that the bundle of our prospective husbands may not even have a sound religious background to begin with and how then are they going to guide the family towards the supposedly righteous path?
Well, in the aspects of dating, most of us wouldn't mind our boyfriends adorning tattoos since they claim them as a medium of body art but just think about it, would you really consider bringing your boyfriend home if almost every part of his body is tainted with tattoo to meet your parents? I don't know about you but i sure wouldn't have enough guts to do so.
Yes, you may argue that with the advancement of science and technology these days, removing a tattoo isn't much of a hassle as long as you can produce the cash.
What about drinking habits then? I know of many who time and again pledge not to touch alcohol yet when presented with temptation and peer pressure crumble at the invitation. Habits is not something one can get rid off easily so let me ask you again, are you sure you don't mind having someone who drink as your future husband? Alcohol is a no for me when it comes to husband material.It's either he abandon his drinking habits before marriage or totally forget about the whole notion of marriage.
Maybe the most i can compromise with is the extent of someone who smokes.Other than that, u're off my list of eligible life partners. The statistics are shocking when i realised that it's a 1 out of 7 scenario to stumble upon a Muslim male teenager in my contact list who has a stable educational background,an effectual moral standing, one who does not drink,club or has a tattoo and at least perform his Friday prayers.
For the lucky ones who have found the precious gemstone, hold on to them tightly.
As for myself and others, maybe we should start searching for the type of guy who fulfills our criteria of eligible bachelors.
